Alternative Energy
INTRODUCTION
What with the cost of energy in todays market, we are all looking for alternatives to cut our
energy cost. Most us are also looking for ways to cut our dependence on energy from other
counties. There are several options in the market today that can all be incorporated into new
construction or remodels to make your home more energy independent. These system can
handle all or part of your energy needs, it's all in how far you would like to go. Many times,
any surplus energy can be sold back to the power companies. Instead of you owing them
money they can owe you money.  There are several ways to produce your own energy, but
we will only focus on three ways.
* Wind electrical generation is as good way to put something very natural, like the wind, to
work for you. The wind doesn't always blow and for this reason we recommend a secondary
system for back up. In this case solar generation.
* Solar electrical generation is also a good way to produce electricity for your home. With
the advances in solar cells it takes very little sun to produce electricity for your home. Much
like wind generation, solar generation can be stored and used at a later time.
* Geothermal generation is a little more difficult. Much depends on location of a Geothermal
pocket of heat. Geothermal can be used for electrical generation if conditions are right, but
the most common use of Geothermal power is heating your home. We've supplied some
very good web sites for further information on Geothermal generation.
